Although I am a gin-girl at heart, this has quickly become one of my favorite party drinks without alcohol. Not only does it look beautiful in a coupe glass, but it also tastes light, floral, and refreshing without the foggy head the next day. Plus it’s a pretty, and thoughtful drink for guests who don’t drink. As a result, it feels celebratory and special.

Start With the Syrup

First, this drink derives its signature floral notes from my Rose Cardamom Simple Syrup. It keeps in the fridge for weeks, so you can mix elegant drinks anytime. For step-by-step instructions, grab the Rose Cardamom Simple Syrup recipe here.

Ingredients for a Rose Cardamom Mocktail

  • Non-Alcoholic Gin: Adds botanical depth and a classic cocktail flavor without alcohol. Any n/a gin will do, but my favorite by far is Pentire Adrift
  • Rose Cardamom Simple Syrup: Brings floral sweetness and warm spice that defines the drink. You can find the recipe here.
  • Sparkling Water: Lightens everything with crisp bubbles and keeps the drink refreshing.
  • Lemon Wedge: Adds bright acidity to balance the sweetness.
  • Food-Grade Rose Petals: Optional garnish that adds aroma and a soft romantic touch.

Expert Tips

  • Chill your glass for a more cocktail-bar feel
  • Start with less syrup and adjust sweetness to taste
  • Adjust sweetness: For a stronger rose flavor, use 1 ounce of syrup. For a more delicate drink, use ½ ounce (1 tablespoon)
  • Shake well to create tiny bubbles and extra chill. It gives this zero-proof drink a true cocktail-bar texture
  • Safety tip: Only choose culinary-grade rose petals. Those from a florist are often treated with sprays and aren’t meant for eating.
  • Add sparkling water just before serving to keep the drink bubbly.

Make Ahead and Storage Info

The drink is best mixed fresh. However, if you’re batch preparing, mix the non-alcoholic gin and syrup ahead of time and refrigerate until needed. Then serve in coupe or cocktail glasses and top with sparkling water and lemon to keep the drink crisp and fizzy.
The base Rose Cardamom Simple Syrup keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. As a result, it becomes an easy last-minute option for entertaining or the holidays.
